It is with great sadness that the family of Bernice Alice (Lamb) Thompson, loving wife of the Late Ernest Thompson announces her passing at the Oromocto Public Hospital on January 2, 2021 at the age of 98 years. Born on November 20, 1922 in Salmon Creek, NB and was the daughter of the late Charles and Sibball (Darrah) Lamb.
Bernice was a devoted wife and a wonderful mother to her children. She is survived by her daughters, Marina, Phyllis (Wayne) of Saint John, NB; sons, Robert, and Douglas of Chipman, NB; brothers, Chesley (Joanie) Lamb, Joseph Lamb of Chipman, NB; sisters-in-law, Beulah Lamb, Audrey Lamb, Betty Ann Lamb of Saint John, NB; six grandchildren, Shelly, Timmy, Christa, Andrew, Kirk and Tara; eleven great grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
In addition to her husband and parents, Bernice was predeceased by her brothers, Alexander, Benton, Lauchland, Clayton, Goldwin and sister Georgina Biggs; daughter-in-law, Jane Thompson and son-in-law, Leslie Fraser.
At Bernice’s request their will be no visitation or funeral Service. A graveside service will take place in the spring at the Red Bank United Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Chipman United Church or the charity of the donor’s choice.
