Obituary of Doris Mostyn
Doris Mostyn (DeRosier) was born February 25, 1947 in Fort Macleod, Alberta and passed peacefully April 7, 2021 in Jaffray, BC surrounded by her family. Doris was born and raised in Fort Macleod where she met the love of her life Trevor Mostyn. They were married April 14, 1966 and together they went on to raise their 4 children of whom she was extremely proud. Doris and Trevor lived in various places over the years and settled down in Gold Creek where they have called home for over 50 years. Family was very important to Doris. She always made sure to keep the family connected by having them over every Sunday for dinner as well as their birthdays and all other special occasions. Doris was an extremely hard worker. She worked tirelessly from morning to night tending to their home, doing yard work, running the huge yard sale, and hosting endless family gatherings. Doris was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend and will be missed dearly. Doris was predeceased by her parents Clarence and Mable DeRosier, brother Clifford, and grandson Ian Shepherd. She is survived by her loving husband Trevor, her 2 daughters Laurie (Colin) Breakwell, Diana (Wade) Lightburn, her 2 sons, Trevor (Kathy) Mostyn, Vince (Alisha) Mostyn, 11 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, her 2 sisters, Florence (Jack) Murphy and Clara Fowler and many nieces and nephews.
