Suddenly at the Brockville General Hospital on Thursday, April 8, 2021, Ruth Nitschke of Cardinal, formerly of Chesterville, age 68. Beloved wife of the late Barry Sharpley. Loving mother of Trevor Sharpley (Lise Belaire) of St. Albert and Louise Sharpley of Cardinal. Dear stepmother of Darlene Sharpley (Ken Crerar) of Greely and Robyn Boyd (Steve) of Osgoode. Dear sister of Helen Sharpley of Barrhaven, Grace Kelly of Findlay Creek, Ron Nitschke of Gatineau and Eileen Grimes (Greg) of Ottawa. Dear mother-in-law of Marc Longchamps of Cornwall. Ruth will be fondly remembered by 13 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by per parents Oscar and Louise Nitschke, her stepdaughters Debbie Longchamps and Donna Simpson and her son-in-law Myles Simpson. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Funeral Arrangements
Due to the Coronavirus restrictions a celebration of Ruth’s life will be held at a later date. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
