A loving son, brother and Fiancé from this dearly departed. Luis is Hardworking, kind, generous, family-oriented, home-bodied and a member of the Francophone community.
Willing to put the needs of others before his own, he was always up for the challenge to help those in need. Reversed yet full of life, he made others feel at ease and at peace. His curiosity made him approach the world with childlike wonder and innocence, bringing joy to those around him. He liked trying new things like playing the piano, studying Kung Fu and lastly, learning to sail a boat through his father.
Luis was very connected to his Cuban roots listening to Cuban music, history, movies and culture. Like our Cuban roots, his resourcefulness and wit allowed him to fix the most challenging of mechanical problems with vehicles. A gift he had since a small child when he would pull apart his toys and try to put them back together.
Like any parent, they would always want their children to get along with their siblings. Luis along with their siblings were taught the famous quote by Ernesto Che Guevara – “Where there is unity, there is strength.”. A lesson that moulded him not only to have an affinity towards his siblings but love them unconditionally. Parents notice even the subtle gestures in their child. In Luis, it’s a smile and soft chuckle when he is hugged, whether you greet or say goodbye.
A smile that warms and greets all who see it. May it never fade or lose its essence that touched our hearts.
