Obituary
It is with heavy hearts the family of Lorne Orville Moorehead announce his peaceful passing on the morning of March 28, 2021 at the age of 88 in Hinton, Alberta.
Lorne was born in Pouce Coupe, British Columbia and was an avid outdoor enthusiast. He enjoyed fishing, camping with friends and was always up for an ATV ride. He spent countless hours exploring trails around the Hinton area on his ATV.
Lorne worked until his retirement in 1997 at Cardinal River Coal and was proud to be a skilled heavy equipment operator.
Lorne was preceded in death by his wife, Adele, of 46 years.
He is survived by his long-time companion, Bev Powers, sons, Don of Grande Cache, AB, Jim (Denniel) of Gull Lake, AB and Lyle (Yvonne) of Edmonton, AB, grandchildren, Zach, Rebecca, Hailey, Kyle and Wyatt and great-grandson, Julian. He is also survived by his brother, Morris and life-long friends, Al & Shirley Reaman.
The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff of the Hinton Health Care Centre and the Continuing Care Centre for making Dad’s final days as comfortable as possible.
A celebration of life will be held in the near future.
