Passed away on March 25, 2021 at home at the age of 63 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Cherished Dad to Jon (Tiffany), Allan (Aimee),Sam, Shane (Ashley). Loving Grandpa to Jordan, Lilly, Talon, Angelene, Lucy, Charlie and Kayden.
Beloved son of Marjory and the late John Downey (2017).
Sadly missed by his siblings: Tom, Catherine (Geoff Moran), Carol (David Zmija), Richard (the late Kelly Kernaghan 2020), Rosalynn (Jim Hahn), Greg (Debra Eamon), Philip (Denise), Chris (Paula) and Jennifer (Adam Sugarman).
Missed by his partner Janet Thompson.
David’s family will receive relatives and friends from 6:00pm-8:00pm on Friday April 2nd, 2021 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Guests must RSVP to attend David’s visitation through the funeral home’s website or by calling the funeral home directly.
