Terrence « Terry »‘s Obituary
Jefferson, Terrence Bertram “Terry” – Tatamagouche – While the sun was setting on our beautiful day of March 22, 2021, Terry’s spirit gently left us. Terry was born in Bridgewater, June 10, 1933 to William Evan Jefferson and Ethel (Zwicker) Jefferson. Leaving school at a very young age, he found work at various jobs between Bridgewater and Dartmouth always drawn to working mostly with wood which led him to building his home for his family, building furniture, etc. He became a carver of wood, creating many beautiful pieces. Moving in mid life up to the North Shore (Marshville), he and his wife and family became a part of that community in various ways but mostly in music. Later on, the family structure changed. his last move was to Central New Annan. There, he created a hobby farm of various poultry and gardening. This gave him time for carving and music. Happy most of all was he when he had his guitar in hand, singing from memory song after song. He leaves behind, his former wife, Della (Ingraham); three daughters, Ruby (Gerry) Bowles; Amanda (Leo) Gillis; Lisa; two sons, Dana (Faye); Kevin (Diane); 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents; sister, Ruby Kristiansen; brother, Earle; grandson, Michael. For the last several months, Terry was a part of the life at the senior’s home, Willow Lodge in Tatamagouche. Terry would want to thank the nursing staff and caregivers for their tender love and care and teasing to which he responded with delight and to those who made his last few difficult hours easier to hear gratitude and praise. Terry requested that there be no visitation and no formal service. Cremation has taken place and his ashes, at a later date, will be buried in Bell Gift Cemetery, West New Annan. Memorial donations to the Palliative Care Unit at Willow Lodge would be appreciated. Arrangements have been entrusted to Coulter’s Funeral Home, Tatamagouche. Online condolences can be sent to the family at the funeral home website at: www.mmcfunerals.com
