Peacefully at the Russell Meadows retirement home on Friday, March 19, 2021, Muriel Whiteside (nee MacDonald), formerly of Metcalfe, age 102. Beloved wife of the late Don Woods and the late Ernie Whiteside. Loving mother of Doug Woods (Brenda) of Winchester. Dear sister of Bessie Carson (late Willis) of Vancouver, Lois Eastman (late Art) of Smiths Falls and Freda Millar (late Bert) of Kingston. Muriel will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren Jennifer Campbell (Kevin), Kary Woods (Kyle) and her great-grandchildren Connor (Alison), Kenzy, Lauryn and Mya. Predeceased by her parents John and Nina MacDonald, her sisters Dorothy Boland and Mildred Munro and her brother Carson MacDonald. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Arrangements
Due to Covid restrictions a private family graveside service will be held at Springhill Cemetery in Vernon. Donations to the Russell Meadows retirement home would be gratefully acknowledged by the family. Online condolences may be made at marsdenmclaughlin.com.
