William David Miller, 79, of Beresford passed away on Friday, February 26th, 2021 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital in Bathurst. He was born in St. John’s NL.
He will be deeply missed by his wife of 55 years, Linda, son Derek and daughter Jill of Bathurst, grandchildren: Keifer and Samantha of St. Jean-Sur-Richelieu, QC as well as two brothers and two sisters.
Dave served 10 years in the Blackwatch and worked 23 years at Brunswick Mining. Dave was a past president and lifetime member of the Herman J. Good, V.C. Branch 18 Royal Canadian Legion. Dave spent 20 years as an Auxiliary Member of the RCMP and Commanding Officer of the Bathurst Air Cadets for four years. He was given a key to the city of Bathurst in 2005 for volunteer work. Dave loved his family dearly, he also loved hunting, fishing, family camping, helping others and was always ready to tell a joke.
As per Dave’s wishes, there will not be a funeral service at this time. A memorial service will be held at later date.
The family would like to thank the extra mural nurses, home care workers, nurses and doctors at the Chaleur Regional Hospital and his family doctor, J-P Arseneau for the care, help and kindness give to Dave and our family.
Donations in memory of Dave may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
