Beatrice Horn (nee Fortin)
July 27, 1939 – March 14, 2021
Mom, Nanny, Great-Nanny, passed away peacefully at Miramichi Lodge with her two daughters by her side at the age of 81 years. She was a devoted wife to her first husband, Lionel Belaire, who passed in 1989. Together they had two daughters, Diane Kennedy (deceased Jim Kennedy) and Linda Gould (David Buske). Beatrice remarried in 2003 to Emerson Horn, who passed in 2014. Together they enjoyed a time of travel and adventure before she settled back in Pembroke to be close to her family. Loving Nanny to Derek Kennedy (Crystal), Jamie Kennedy (Chantal), Sean Kennedy, Hayley Hamilton (Craig), and Tanisha Gould and a Great-Nanny to Isabelle, Emma, Nathalie, McKenna, Gabriel, and Krew. Dear sister of Marcel Fortin (Dorothy). Predeceased by parents Pierre and Ida Mae Fortin (nee Lavoie), by brothers Maurice, Aurel and René Fortin, and by sisters Geraldine Béchamps, Lilianne Levêsque and Eva Mousseau. She was a fun loving spirit who always wanted to be surrounded by her family and friends. Spending time with her meant spending time laughing. She was one who never really grew old; her smile was made of sunshine and her heart was solid gold. on Friday, March 26th, 2021 from 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Jean Baptiste Church, Pembroke on Saturday, March 27th, 2021 at 11 a.m. Interment of Ashes in St. Columba’s Cemetery, Pembroke. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Miramichi Lodge Foundation would be appreciated.
