Obituary
Gerard (Jerry) Antoine Chenard, long time residence of Robb, AB, born April 13, 1936, passed away February 11, 2021 at the age of 84.
He was born at home in Tangent and died in his home in Robb, AB. He farmed in Tangent for a while then moved to Robb, AB. He started a job as a coal mine driller. Jerry did this for over 30 years before he retired. He always loved fishing, hunting and quading. He also loved sports, most of it on TV, in his later years.
He leaves behind two sons, Victor G. Chenard of Robb, AB. and Marcel R. Chenard of Hines Creek, AB. as well as Victor and Marcel’s mother Lucienne (Lucy) Osborne of Hines Creek, AB. Three granddaughters, Stephanie, Amanda, Kristen Chenard; three great grandchildren Landon, Madaline and Sadie Chenard; three sisters Marie Jean (Emile) Laurin of Spruce Grove, AB., Lorraine Lavoie of Grande Prairie, AB., Lise Boisvert of Leduc, AB.; three brothers Aristide (Elizabeth) Chenard of Joussard, AB., Noel (Jeanne) Chenard of Tangent, AB., Rosaire (Rosie) Chenard of Grande Prairie, AB.; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Gerard Chenard was predeceased by his parents Germaine and Joseph Chenard and a brother Lucien Chenard, all of Tangent, AB.
Gerard was cremated and will be layed to rest in the Tangent Cemetery this coming summer, 2021. Many thanks to all his friends that helped him and also the hospital staff.
