Katherine “Pat” Traynor – October 4, 1941 – March 2, 2021
It is with great sadness that we mourn the passing of our Mom, Pat.
Pat was 79 years old when she lost her short battle with cancer. She died surrounded by people who loved her, including her precious companion “Sherry” her service dog. Her last days were spent in the loving care of her daughters, son-in-law and grandchildren in the comfort of a home where they were able to ensure her final days were full of the love and care she deserved.
Pat was mother to her two daughters, Leslie Ballam (Dan) and Judy Tamlin (Sandy). Pre-deceased by her son Lavern Traynor and sister Judy Taylor. Grandmother to Sydney, Riley, Sam, Sophie, Dallas, Dylan and Nikita. Great Grandmother to little Aubrey. Dear companion to Charles Shepard as well as his daughters Donna (Luc) Bertrand, Lorie (Tim) Lee and their children Kayla, Amanda, Jessica, Shannon and Rebecca. Pat will also be remembered by the many friends and acquaintances she has made over the years including her many faithful customers who frequented her video rental store “Stop 10 Video” in Lindsay.
Pat had a way of making everyone feel comfortable, people always took to her and she loved them. Right up to the end she welcomed having people around her and would never say she was too tired to see anyone. Her sense of humor was with her until the end and she continued to try and do anything she could to make things easy on everyone else. It was a true gift to care for her and see her through this final journey.
A very special thanks to Erin O’Grady, Brock Norris and all the staff of Caressant Care Retirement in Lindsay. She truly loved you all and enjoyed every day she lived there with you.
The family have chosen to celebrate Pat’s life at a later date. Pat was a lover of animals her entire life, if desired donations may be made in her memory to the Humane Society of Kawartha Lakes.
