Marion’s Obituary
Nickerson, Marion Gertrude – 87, of Newellton, passed away on Saturday, February 27th, 2021 at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital with her daughter Judy at her side. She was the daughter of the late Morton and Ruth (Smith) Atkinson of Centreville. Survived by her daughter, Judy (Freeman) Nippard; granddaughters, Michelle, Erin, Fern, Amanda and Joanne; great grandchildren, Brandon, Tanner, Kieran, Rowan, Kenley, Spencer and Nicholas; and great-great granddaughter, Aria. Besides her parents Marion was predeceased by her husband, Whitman and sons, Daniel and Richard. Marion was an avid gardener and enjoyed spending the warmer months outside in her flower beds. Once the weather turned cold Marion kept busy knitting and making quilts to keep her grandchildren warm. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 2nd, at 2:00 pm from the H.M. Huskilsons Memorial Chapel, Barrington. Due to Covid-19 restriction, seating may be limited and social distancing guidelines must be followed (Immediate family will be given priority for seating). Due to limited seating the service will be live streamed on the funeral home website. Interment in Centreville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Faith Christian Church (Restoration Fund) or any charity of choice.
