Glenn M. Estabrooks
1933-2021
With much sadness the family of Glenn M. Estabrooks announce his
passing on February 9, 2021. Glenn was born in Sackville, NB to Leaman
and Grace (Babcock) Estabrooks.
He is survived by his wife, Kathleen (MacRae) of 61 years and their
three children, Bruce (Stephanie) and their two sons, Alex and Andrew
of Riverview, Susan of Florenceville-Bristol, NB and Greig (Manon) and
their two children, Christopher and Victoria of St Lazare, QC. He is
also survived by his younger brother, Dale, of Sackville, as well as
an uncle, Kenneth of Moncton.
Glenn served with the Moncton Police Force for 35 years, retiring in
1993. Glenn enjoyed spending time at his camp in Parkindale and
listening to country and western music. He and Kaye enjoyed many bus
trips to the USA in their retirement years. More importantly, he
enjoyed the company of his family, of whom he was most proud. He
enjoyed a good spread of food and ate heartily. Those who knew Dad
best would know that he lived by the motto « There’s a place
for everything and everything in its place ». His neatly organized
garage, camp and yard were a testament to that fact. Neighbours noted
the impeccable pride he took in maintaining his vehicles. He liked
nothing more than basking in the sun on his backyard deck and shooting
the breeze over Kaye’s homemade ice tea and cookies with anyone
who dropped by.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to the caring
staff of Salvation Army Lakeview Manor, Riverview, where Glenn resided
over the last three years. The care he received there was second to
none and Dad certainly appreciated every extra effort made to ensure
the comfort of both him and Kaye.
The family is also indebted to family friends, Judy Bulmer, Pam
Donnelly, Gill Wesselby and Marg Murray, whose visits and assistance
have been greatly appreciated.
Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions, a graveside service will be
held at Black River Community Cemetery at a later date.
