Jean passed away peacefully in Stittsville on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at age 101. Predeceased by her husband Robert (Bob) William Jones, and daughter Elizabeth (Beth) Ann Hunt (Greg). Jean will be greatly missed by her son Bill (Cheryl). Nana was very much loved by her grandchildren Kimberly, Brendan (Andrea), Megan (Dan), Matt (Melissa). Great Nana was also much loved and very proud of her eight great-grandchildren, Hunter, Harrison, Renley, Peyton, Samuel, Cassidy, Nicholas, and Nathan. Jean’s life was surrounded by many friends,(especially Mary Blackwell and Anne Philion), travelling with Bob, work with charitable organizations and most importantly, her family. Jean was the consummate party organizer and attendee, whether in Montreal, Ottawa or Boca Raton, Florida. Jean was an avid curler, golfer and a long-time member of the Ottawa Hunt Club. She had a great life and will be missed very much by her many friends and family. The perfect wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Celebration of Life to be determined at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Breast Cancer Canadian Cancer Society or The Ottawa Food Bank would be appreciated.
