Roy Toms
TOMS, Roy – June 21, 1938 – Feb 2, 2021. On Tuesday, Feb 2, 2021 the world said goodbye to a fiercely loved husband, father, grandfather and friend. Soul mate and husband for 63 yrs to Babe (nee Napper). His advice, strength and many stories will be missed by all! Leaving behind his grieving and loving family, Roy Jr., Laurie (Mark), Sherry (Aldo); grandchildren: Keith (Leah), Courtney (Matt), Leah, Daniel, Joey (Erin), Nathan, Mattie; great grandchildren: Les, Lilly, Liam, Landon, Seth, Gabriel, Olivia. He leaves behind his chosen brothers and sisters Bob, Janet, Nancy, Tom, Terry (Dave) and many nieces and nephews too numerous to name, but not forgotten. Special friends: Zane, Kathy, Toni and Frank. Roy was a wonderful hardworking man with strong convictions and kind spirit, looked up to by all! Predeceased by his parents: Ernest and Elizabeth Toms, brother Donald and wife Judy, mother and father-in-law Phillis and Robert Napper and brothers-in-law Ron and Bob. Thank-you to the nursing staff at Welland Hospital for their compassionate caring ways. Special thanks to Theresa at the Welland Hospital for taking care of Roy. Following Roy’s wishes cremation has taken place. Due to Covid 19 restrictions a service will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the H. L. Cudney Funeral Home, 241 West Main Street, Welland. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Niagara Health Foundation.
