Vivian Agnes Russell
December 23, 1947 – February 1, 2021
Vivian was born on December 23, 1947 and lived at Gwynne, attending Gwynne School from Grade 1 to Grade 9. Vivian attended Wetaskiwin Composite High School for Grade 10 then went to Beautician School in Edmonton where she graduated in 1966. Vivian and Allan were married in May 1967 and resided in Wetaskiwin. Vivian had her own hair salon from 1972 when Michelle was born. Vivian did her last hair appointment on December 2020 when the province shut down for Covid-19 Protocol.
Vivian is survived by her husband of 53 years, Allan; her daughters, Michelle (Terry) Hammermeister, and Suzelle (Todd) Pearson; grandchildren, Emily, Justin, Derian and Daine; her brother, Morley (Lorrie) Erickson; sister, Marion (Tom) Kohut; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and many friends.
Vivian was predeceased by her father and mother, Stanley and Gena Erickson; sister, Joyce Carlson; brother-in-law, Stanley Russell; niece, Janice Ellis as well as her nephew, Troy Russell.
Donations in Vivian’s memory are gratefully accepted to the Wetaskiwin Health Foundation – Unit 35/Palliative Care.
A private funeral service will be held due to Covid-19 regulations, on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. For those that wish to participate, the service will be livestreamed on Vivian’s obituary. Vivian will be laid to rest at Roseland Cemetery following the service.
