It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mary Lou on December 21, 2021 at 81 years of age. Predeceased by her beloved husband Lloyd (2007). Cherished mother of Robin Payne. Adored grandma of Alecia Dawn (Dakota Grant), and Thomas Scott. Great-grandmother of eight, Anjenee Nicole, Savion, Amare, Brayden, Darrius, Harmony, Everley and Brielle. Great-great grandmother of Makaiya and Kamaiya. Predeceased by her parents John & Margaret Brooks (nee Nolan), and by her siblings Vernon, Glendora, Bruce, and Lyle. Survived by her sisters Joyce Robbins and Gloria Hidi. She will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.
Mary Lou was a proud member of the “Hour a Day Study Club”, which provides scholarship funds for black teens in Windsor & Es County.
If you so desire, donations to the Hour a Day Study Club would be appreciated by the family.
Cremation has taken place.
