It is with great sadness that the family of Thomas McNamara (Tom), announce his passing in the early hours of December 12, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Tom was born June 14, 1961 and spent much of his younger years sailing the Great Lakes; after some years he began work in Alberta until he was no longer able to continue. Tom was well known for his always ready smile, great sense of humour and love of life. He was everybody’s friend.
Tom is predeceased by his dear father, Thomas William McNamara (Bill).
Left to mourn his loss are his mother Bridget, loving partner Shirley, step children Renee (Joe), Roxanne (Claude and family), Brothers Paul (Christine), Jerry (Gaye), Jim (Rhonda); sister Mary (Gary) and a large circle of family and friends.
Visitation will take place on Monday, December 13 from 2:00 to 4:00pm and 7:00 to 9:00pm and on Tuesday, December 14 from 2:00 to 4:00pm and 7:00 to 9:00pm.
A Service will take place on Wednesday, December 15 at 2:00pm from St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church in Port Union.
Inurnment will be at a later date.
