WHYNOT – Curtis W., 80, of Milton, Queens County, passed away peacefully in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool on Tuesday, January 26, 2021.
Born in Liverpool, Curtis was a son of the late Virgil J. and Jennie K. (Colp) Whynot.
Curtis was a former employee with Bowater Mersey Paper Company Limited, Brooklyn retiring from the woodroom. He enjoyed spending time at his camp on the Old Garden Road, celebrating Christmas, (which was his favourite time of year!), and spending time with his family especially his granddaughters.
Curtis is survived by his wife Verna (Coombs); his daughters Shelley Whynot (Tony Hunt) and Sherry (Allan) Dauphinee, both of Milton. His sons Todd (Krista) of Dartmouth and Trevor of Milton. His granddaughters Dana Dauphinee (Jake White), Bethany (Sam) Crossfield; Sophia and Sadie Whynot and his great granddaughter Rachel White as well as one on the way! His sister Marilyn Whynot (Boe Boutilier) of Milton.
Besides his parents, Curtis was predeceased by his sister Lillian.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. A memorial service will be held Monday, February 1, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in Chandlers’ Funeral Chapel, Liverpool. Reverend Judy Cross officiating. No flowers by request, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Online condolences may be made to www.chandlersfuneral.com.
Covid 19 restrictions will be in place for this service. Those attending are required to bring their own masks, practice social distancing, hand sanitize and provide the funeral staff with contact tracing information at the door. Seating is limited to 50 persons.
