Linda Lepage, (nee Gramiak, Francis), cherished wife of Marcel and sons Matthew and Michael passed away at St. Paul’s Hospital, Palliative Care ward from cancer at the age of 53 years. She was predeceased by her mother, Inez Elizabeth Francis and her father Walter Gramiak, also by her brother Ivan Francis. She is survived by her sisters and brothers Mary Mudry, Frank Hrynchak (Brenda), Helen Hrynchak (Wes Polowski), Elaine Bauer (Don). Her mother-in-law (Marcel’s family), Carm Cameron (Dale), sisters and brothers-in-law. Charlene Lepage, Andrea Coté (Darren), Cosette Marriott (Craig), Norm Lepage (Jessica Zenner), Janet Ennis (Dave Wilson), Michael Gramiak. Linda is also survived by many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Linda graduated from Nutana Collegiate in 1987 and had attended the U of S. She worked in various security/investigative/loss prevention positions. In 1990 Linda began employment as a Corrections Worker at the Saskatoon Correctional Center. In 2008 her health began to fail and she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. She had to leave her career which she loved and be on long term disability.
In the fall of 1987 she met the love of her life, Marcel Lepage and the two were married on August 20, 1988. They soon bought their first home and enjoyed a great many camping and fishing trips together at Big River and Lac Eau Claire area in Saskatchewan. These trips cemented their shared love for each other and their shared love of the great outdoors that remained forever. In 1997 Linda and Marcel were blessed with the birth of their first son Matthew and blessed again in 1999 with their second son Michael. Linda worked night shifts so she could spend as much time as possible with her sons as this was very important to her. Linda always found time to take care of her brother Ivan, her father, her mother and her boys. Linda and Marcel built a cabin at Chitek Lake where she loved spending quality time with her family. Linda loved all the holidays, and especially Christmas time and decorated her home with pride, always making Christmas a very special time. She loved cooking large meals and had a passion for her miniature collections and crafts.
Linda was the most unselfish, generous and thoughtful person, always thinking of others before herself; even in her last days. She will forever be sadly missed by all.
Linda’s family wishes to thank Dr. R. Abdul Hadi and Marty, the Cancer Center and RUH doctors, nurses and staff, the St. Paul’s hospital Palliative Care special team who made Linda’s last steps in her journey, so special in every way. There will be a memorial service at Chitek Lake in early summer.
Nos plus sincères sympathies à la famille et aux amis de Linda
