Obituary of Dorothy Mina Marie Reid
Was welcomed into the loving arms of her greatest friend, Lord and Saviour, on Sunday, December 5th, 2021, at the age of 94. Dear daughter of the late John & Ada Holden. Beloved wife of the late Walton Richard Albert Reid. Cherished mother of Kenneth Richard Wesley Reid (Charlotte), Norma “Sharon” Elizabeth Schamehorn (Robert), Donna Marie Soule (Mark), and Doris Anne Reaney (Lloyd). Also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Ken Reid Jr. (Kyra), Kevin Reid (Raeann), Sherri Storm (Adam), Shelley Schamehorn, Carolyn Schamehorn, Amanda Welk (Donaven), Candice Tubby (Curtis), Nathan Reaney (Kacie), and by 15 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of, Norma Smith, (Late) Herman Holden and Rev. Beth Hawley. Aunt Dorothy will be missed by her many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Steele Funeral Home, Moira Street Chapel, 30 Moira Street West, Belleville (613-968-2273) on Thursday, December 9th, from 5:00 to 5:30, 5:30 to 6:00, 6:00 to 6:30, 6:30 to 7:00, 7:00 to 7:30 and 7:30 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Service will take place at the Trenton Wesleyan Church, 274 2nd Dug Hill Road, Trenton, on Friday, December 10th, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. (with visitation one hour prior at the church). Private family interment.
Those wishing to attend the visitation and/or service MUST email their request to, rsvp@steelefuneralhome.ca and include their full name and names of others attending with them, their contact information, their city of residence and their requested arival time, or call Steele Funeral Home at 613-968-2273 between the hours of 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
All attendees must wear a mask and socially distance, capacity limits will be observed.
The Funeral Service will be Live Streamed for those unable to attend in person. Details of how to view the livestream will be available later in the week.
If desired, donations to the Ivanhoe Camp or the Trenton Wesleyan Church (Building Fund) would be appreciated by the family.
