It is with deep sadness that the family of the late Josephine Fitzpatrick of Lord’s Cove announces her passing. Josephine passed away at her home in Lord’s Cove on Tuesday, November 30th, 2021 at the age of 85.
Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are her; sons, Martin (Mildred) of Lord’s Cove, George (Lillian) of Fortune, Gerard (Peggy) of Alberta, Harry (Fawn) of Dartmouth, NS, Alphonse (Lisa) of Lord’s Cove, and Dion (Tracy) of Burin; daughters, Blanche Roberts (Norman) of Fortune, Caroline Fitzpatrick of St. John’s, and Lucinda Fitzpatrick (Mike) of St. John’s; son-in-law, Eric Edwards of Lord’s Cove; 29 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; special nieces, Bridget Hennebury and Mary Hodge; plus a large number of relatives and friends.
Josephine was predeceased by her husband, Cecil Fitzpatrick; sons, Cecil and David Fitzpatrick; daughters, Emma Fitzpatrick and Edith Edwards; parents, Thomas and Bridget Hodge; brothers, Thomas and George Hodge, and Will John Slaney; sisters, Emma Edwards, Bridget Anne Edwards, Kate Manning, and Theresa Tarrant.
As per Josephine’s wishes cremation will take place.
Funeral service will take place at Wiseman’s Funeral Home in Burin on Monday, December 6th, 2021 at 10:30am. Inurnment to follow at Roman Catholic Cemetery in Lord’s Cove.
For anyone that wishes to attend the funeral service can call the funeral home and have your name added to the list.
Please be advised that anyone entering the funeral home will be asked to show proof of vaccination and masks are to be worn at all times.
