Peacefully at the Smiths Falls District Hospital on Friday November 19th, 2021. Robert Speer age 76 years of RR4 Athens. Beloved husband of June Speer (nee Fulford). Dear father of Leonard Speer of Athens and David Speer (Maggie) of Wingham, Ontario. Loving grandfather of Benjamin and James. Also survived by a sister, Neridah Speer of Australia, a sister-in-law, Vicki Speer of Australia, a brother-in-law, Ed Fulford (Brenda) of Athens and numerous nieces and nephews in Australia and Canada. Predeceased by a brother John and his parents, Jeffrey Sylvestor Speer and the former Gloria Irene Babbs.
In keeping with Robert’s wishes, cremation will take place, and interment will be held at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, at a later date. In memoriam’s to the Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital Foundation will be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
