We the family of Victoria
Estelle Harrison are sad to announce her peaceful
passing due to Covid-19 complications with Nancy and Megan by her
side. Born in Amherst, NS to Laurence and Ethel (Savary)
Harrison on November 8, 1957.
Vicki’s early education began in Nappan
with Jo at Jonathan McCully Elementary School. Vicki
continued her education in Truro.
In her early 20’s, Vicki moved to Rupert
House as one of the very first residents. Vicki enjoyed many
years with her Rupert House family until the time of her
passing. Vicki entered the workforce at the Bridge Adult
Service Centre where she worked for over 40 years. Her
favourite job being a model in the annual fashion show.
Vicki enjoyed embroidery, knitting
(raveling daily), rug hooking, reading and word search. She
especially enjoyed country music and watching Seth Rollins with the
WWE. For many years, Vicki participated in the Special
Olympics locally and as far away as Ontario, bringing home a multitude
of medals.
Vicki looked forward to spending her
summer vacations camping with her dad and stepmother Alice
(Blenkhorn).
Vicki will be forever loved
and missed by sisters, Josephine and Eleanor; sister-in-law, Donna;
beloved nieces and nephews, Patti (David), Nancy, Laurence (Janis),
Elizabeth (Larry), Cynthia (Rick), Wendy, Robert (Shelly), David, Paul
(Dawn), Lester (Kim), Barry (Velda), Darren (Peter), Tracey, Bradley
(Melissa), as well as many great and great great nieces and
nephews.
Vicki was predeceased by her parents and
stepmother; her brothers, Charles, Allen, and William as well as her
brothers-in-law, Roy and George.
We would like to extend our deepest
gratitude to Ted and Karen for ensuring Vicki continued to have the
quality of life her dad wanted her to enjoy.
Arrangements are under the care and
supervision of the Jones Family Funeral
Centre, 70 Church Street, Amherst, NS
(902-667-8777). A service for Vicki will be held at the
funeral home on Sunday, November 14, 2021 at 1:00 pm with interment to
follow in the Amherst Cemetery. Proof of double vaccination
and a government ID will be required to attend.
Donations in memory of Vicki may be made
to the Bridge Adult Service Centre and the Bridge Adult Service Centre
(Client Fundraising).
