Obituary of Sheldon Wade Desjarlais
Sheldon passed away peacefully with family by his bedside on October 30, 2021. He was predeceased by his father Lloyd Desjarlais Sr. and step-father Elmer George; grandparents Philip and Rose (Kaiswatum) Desjarlais, William and Rosenie (Nabess) Pratt and Isabel (Cote) Pratt; sisters Glenda Desjarlais, Gail Desjarlais, and Shelly Desjarlais-Ware; and brothers Matthew Desjarlais, Michael Desjarlais and Shane George. Sheldon is survived by his mother May Desjarlais-George; daughter Shalyn Desjarlais (Brian Sr.); sons Sheldon Desjarlais II and Lloyd Desjarlais; grandchildren Sheldon III, Xzanthia, Brian Jr., Odessa, and Nova; sisters Lorraine Desjarlais, Rosie Desjarlais, and IvyLynn (Brian) Bear; brothers Lloyd (Lois), Lorne (Rosia), Ron (Bev) Crowe, Victor (Judy) Desnomie, and Lee (Lea) Desjarlais and Companion Charlene Blacksioux. Visitation will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK, on Thursday, November 4, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. 7:00 p.m. Wake will be held at Piapot First Nation on Friday, November 5, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Piapot First Nation on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow in the Desjarlais Family Cemetery, Piapot First Nation.
