Hunter, Marjorie Alberta ‘Mardy’
Marjorie Alberta ‘Mardy’ Hunter, of Owen Sound, Ontario, passed away on Tuesday, October 19th, 2021, at Georgian Heights Nursing Home in Owen Sound at the age of 80.
She was a daughter of the late Norm and Winnie Robertson. Mardy was predeceased by her husband, George ‘Al’ Hunter, also of Owen Sound. Mardy is survived by her daughters; Sharon, of Owen Sound, Sandy See and her husband John of Holland Centre, Wendy Jansen of Owen Sound; son, Willard and his wife Kathy of Kitchener; grandchildren, Hunter, Jonathan, Jeremy, Marissa, Andrew, Misti, and Savannah, and great grandchildren, Kennedy-Anne and Deven. She is also survived by her sister, Kaye Warwick; brothers, Alan Robertson and Jim Robertson (Karen), all of Owen Sound; sister-in-law, Olive Bryanton and Linda Hunter both of P.E.I.. Predeceased by her brother, William Robertson of Sauble Beach; brother-in-laws, Peter Warwick of Owen Sound, and Preston Hunter of P.E.I.; sister-in-law, Velma Owen of New Brunswick, as well as granddaughter, Melissa of Owen Sound.
Mardy enjoyed music and crocheting. Her beautifully crocheted blankets and dressed stuffed animals, which she often donated to various local homes, have been enjoyed by many.
Cremation has taken place and as per Mardy’s request, there will be no funeral service.
