It is with profound sadness that the family of Nadine Sarah Duffney, 39, of Lunenburg, announces her passing on Friday, October 08, 2021 at the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater.
Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of Clarence and Paulette (Taylor) Duffney of Rose Bay.
In her younger years, Nadine worked waitressing in both Halifax and Lunenburg and then she went on to graduate from NSCC, Lunenburg Campus, Bridgewater, receiving her Vehicle Mechanic papers and then worked as a vehicle mechanic in Bridgewater.
Despite all her health issues, Nadine’s love for life, strength of spirit and devotion to her children will never be forgotten and will live on in the lives of all those who knew and loved her.
Besides her parents, Clarence and Paulette Duffney of Rose Bay, she is survived by her children, Mya Skinner of Lunenburg and Axle Duffney of Rose Bay, sisters, Shelly Penny of Halifax, Denise (Larry) Hall, Vaughn and Tracy (Philip) Cooke, of Chester Basin; brothers, Brad (Anna) Duffney Blockhouse and Dougie MacDonald of LaHave, 8 nieces and nephews and nieces and 4 great nieces and nephew’s.
Nadine was predeceased by her best friend and partner in crime, Jenn Pittman.
Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 1213 Hwy. # 3, Lunenburg where a gathering to celebrate Nadine’s life will be held on Sat. October 16, 2021 from 3-5 p.m.
Covid-19 Restrictions to apply for the gathering with Masks and providing Proof of Vaccination.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Pro Kids or to a charity of your choice.
PRO Kids is a program that provides financial assistance to children and youth who, due to financial limitations, are not able to participate in sport, recreation and cultural activities. The PRO Kids program strives to remove financial barriers to ensure every child and youth has an opportunity to participate.
The family would like to thank Dr. Heather Robertson and the ICU staff at SSRH for their wonderful care of Nadine.
