Obituary
Jack passed away peacefully on September 24,2021. He is survived by his wife Valerie; children Gary (Carrie), Brenda, Brian (Adele), and Grant; five grandchildren; stepsons, Andrew, and Michael (Sandra); two step-grandchildren; and two brothers, Maurice and Blaine.
Jack was an outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping. He enjoyed all types of sports, playing baseball and hockey in high school. He continued playing intermediate hockey in and around Edmonton. Jack also played tennis, golf, downhill and cross-country skiing ,roller blading and curling for many years. Jack was president of the Edmonton Jaycees from 1961-62. Jack came to Edmonton in 1948 after completing high school in Ashmont and lived in the area until his passing.
He was predeceased by his sister Doreen and granddaughter Jacqueline. He will be sadly missed by friends and those that dearly loved him.

A Celebration of John’s Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 16, 2021, at Sherwood Park United Church, 20 Fir St, Sherwood Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Edmonton General Hospital -9y.
