Obituary of Charles Nelson Evoy
June 25,1918 – October 6,2021
Nelson Evoy of Ottawa passed away peacefully after a long life as a son and a brother then as a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather. Predeceased by his dear wife of 79 years, Margaret Evoy, all his siblings and many dear friends. His life was bookended by two pandemics with a life full of family, faith and career in between. Nelson served in the RCAF for 25 years followed by a long career at Health Canada and a time as Hospital Administrator in Hawkesbury. A dedicated parishioner of St. Michael and All Angels Church in Bel Air Park, Ottawa.
He was a man of few words but showed his care and love through the many, many acts of kindness, caring and support to immediate and extended family and friends. He also had a wicked sense of humour that created memorable moments of laughter for all.
Many thanks to staff at the Courtyards on Eagleson for care and attention in these last few months.
A Private Family Service will be held at St Paul’s Anglican Church, Kanata.
