Julia “Julie” (Walsh) Whitney wife of the late John Whitney of Miramichi, NB, passed away on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at her residence at the age of 67. Born in Newcastle, NB, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Doreen (Hare) Walsh. Julie was a member of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Newcastle and was a past employee of the Met. She was an avid golfer and played softball which she attended several nationals. Julie also served as a former member of St. Mary’s Bereavement Committee.
Julie is survived by: brothers: Roy Walsh (Bettina) and Terry Walsh (Elsie); sister-in-law: Brenda Walsh all of Miramichi, NB and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband, Julie is predeceased by: brother: Jack Walsh.
At Julie’s request there will be no visitation and a private service will be held at a later date.
In Julie’s memory, donations may be made to the Miramichi Food Bank.
