Robert Garner “Bob” Huff- age 84 of Knoxville passed away Thursday, September 23, 2021. Bob was the youngest of 3 sons, who grew up among family and friends on the banks of Roseberry Creek in Mascot, Tn. He attended Skaggston Elementary, and graduated from Carter High School in 1955. He worked at the University of Tennessee for 10 yrs and completed training as an electrician and refrigeration / air conditioning technician. He then worked at ALCOA for 35 years, where he retired as a member of ALCOA’s 25-year Club. A lifelong Christian, Bob served as an Elder and Treasurer in the Church of Christ. He was a faithful member of Asbury Church of Christ at the time of his death. Bob loved traveling with his missionary brother-in-law to South Africa. He served as a volunteer for the Knoxville-Area Teenage Christian Camp for many years. Bob was a great student and teacher of the Bible all of his life. He enjoyed a game of golf and cheering for the Tennessee Volunteers. He was always the dedicated caretaker of his parents and special daughter, Diane.
Preceded in death by his loving parents Henry and Robbie Major Huff of Mascot; older brother, William David Huff; and infant twin brother, Herbert J. Huff.
Survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Arillia Donahue Huff of Knoxville; special daughter, Pamelia Diane Huff of Knoxville; loving daughters, Terrie Elaine Huff (Mark) Warren of Chattanooga, and Angelia Sue Huff of Powell; brother Charles Allen Huff of Ardmore Tn; beloved brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Ann Hogg; brother-in-law, Raymond Donahue of Knoxville; grandchildren, Robert “Bo” Markum Warren of Chattanooga, Susannah Diane Warren (Seth) Shaver of Chattanooga, Mark Henry “Hank” Warren and his fiancée Isabel Perry of Knoxville; great grandchildren, Mason Edward Warren, Eliana Mari Warren, and Hopper Elaine Shaver. “Uncle Bob” had dozens of beloved nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends 1:00-3:00 pm Sunday, October 3, at Bridges Funeral Home, with his service to follow at 3:00 pm officiated by Pastor Bill Bryant. Immediately following the service, family and friends will then go in procession to Eastview Memorial Gardens for graveside services.
Pallbearers are Rick Hogg, Bo Warren, Hank Warren, Seth Shaver, Rhett Priode, and Mark Burroughs.
