It is with great sadness that the family of Gloria Margaret Greek, 88, of Blue Rocks announces her passing on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at Fishermen’s Memorial Hospital, Lunenburg.
Born in Eastern Points, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Lola (Tanner) Tanner.
Gloria enjoyed the simple pleasures of life and to her family, friends and the community at large were so important to her. She was a quiet person who enjoyed spending time in her home and quality time was with family. She was a member of St. Barnabas Anglican Church, Blue Rocks and the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She is survived by two daughter, Paulette Emino of Centre and Lola Greek of Mahone Bay and her son, Ronald Greek of Blue Rocks.
She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Hector Greek in 2001 and her sons-in-law, Richard Emino and Frank Whynacht and sister, Lucy Corkum and brother, Orrin Tanner.
Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213 Hwy. # 3, Lunenburg where a service to celebrate Gloria’s life will be held, Monday at 2:00 p.m. The Very Reverend John Wright, officiating. Interment will follow at the Upper Blue Rocks Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Fishermen’s Memorial Hospital, St. Barnabas Anglican Church or to a charity of your choice.
