Corrine McLaren Parks was born May 11, 1925 in Matawatchan, Ontario. She passed away peacefully at Valley Manor Nursing Home in Barry’s Bay on Thursday, September 16, 2021 in her 97th year. Predeceased by her husbands Malcolm McLaren and Willard Parks, parents Walter Ferguson and Amanda McCoy, sisters Lula-bell and Teresa, brothers Clifford, Clarence and Carl and eldest son James McLaren.
She is survived by her sisters Janet and Eleanor, sons Melvan (Olga) McLaren and Ivan (Cindy) McLaren and daughter-in-law Bonnie Welsh, grand children Bradley McLaren, Kristen McLaren and Ashley McLaren and great grand-daughter Paige Gillis-McLaren. She will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews and friends.
Funeral services are entrusted to the Zohr Family Funeral Home, Killaloe. All are invited to pay their respects at a visitation at St. Andrews United Church, in Matawatchan, from 1 PM to 2 PM on Monday, September 20, 2021 followed by a funeral service at 2 PM. Internment to take place in the Matawatchan Community Cemetery at 3 pm.
