Obituary of Reta Virginia Webb
It is with sadness that the family announces the death of Reta Virginia Webb, wife of Lloyd Webb, after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s. Her passing occurred on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at the Sus Health Centre with her family at her side. She was born on March 19, 1937 in Pearsonville, NB, a daughter of the late Joseph and Edith (Weaver) Pearson.
Reta had several interests, including gardening, knitting, and quilting. She was a member of various organizations and looked forward to contributing cooking and knitting to community events, and always looked forward to the ACW church sale. She received a life membership from the Women’s Institute.
Reta was very proud of her family and attended her grandchildren’s sporting and musical activities. Reta welcomed family, friends and their dogs, and always put on a superb meal, whether for two or twenty. Reta was active in the family farm and was particularly interested in the dairy herd. She knew the milk production and lineage of all the herd. Reta will be remembered by her family and friends as a kind soul with a great sense of humour.
Reta is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Lloyd; daughters: Nancy (Edmund) Beaulieu of Durham Bridge, NB, Karen (Paul) Webb-Anderson of Cherry Hill, NS, Anne (Trevor) Webb-Thorne of Wards Creek, NB; grandchildren: Andrew Beaulieu (Makenzie Doiron), Zachery (Hannah Caron) Anderson, Kaitlyn Anderson, Jocelyn Beaulieu, Liam Thorne, Ella Thorne and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by son Billy Webb; her sisters: Hazel Kirkpatrick, Mary Pearson and her brother Jim Pearson.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sus (506-433-1176) from where visitation will be held on Friday, September 17, 2021 from 4 to 7pm. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 2:00pm from Church of the Ascension, Apohaqui. Due to COVID 19, face masks are strongly recommended. Interment will take place in Riverbank Cemetery.
