Shediac, NB – Rhéal Cormier, 76, of Villa Providence, Shediac and formerly of Cap-Pelé passed away on Monday, January 18th, 2021 at his residence.
Born in Cap-Pelé, NB, he was the son of the late Camille V. and the late Delvina (née: Vautour) Cormier.
Prior to retirement, Rhéal was a fisherman and carpenter. He enjoyed listening to country music and watching hockey. A very serious man, but he loved playing tricks on family and friends.
He will be sadly missed by his beloved wife of 54 years, Murielle (née: Gaudet); his daughter, Monique Légère (David) of Cap-Pelé; his son, Mathieu Cormier (Natalie) of Dieppe; his grandchildren: Jason (Danika), Justin (Karine), Miguel (Madison), Josiane and Jasmine; his great grandchildren: Élise, Audrée, Liam, Max and Loïc; his sisters: Albertine (late Camille) Leger and Sylvia (late Alyre) Gallant, both of Cormier-Village, Yvonne (Armand) LeBlanc of Dieppe and Lucie (late Eric) Jacob of Cap-Pelé; his brothers: Regis Cormier and Hector (Judy) Cormier, both of Cap-Pelé, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Brigitte in 2007 and also by his brother, Normand.
Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions, funeral mass from Sainte-Thérèse d’Avila RC Church, Cap-Pelé will be held at a later date.
A special thanks to management, nurses and staff of Villa Providence in Shediac for the excellent care given to Rhéal in the last 7 years.
