Sergio ‘Joe’ Dalcanale was born in Torcegno, TN, Italy on June 24, 1928, and passed away peacefully in Trail on September 12, 2021.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Giustina, his sons Frank (Cathy) and David, grandchildren Melissa (Travis) and Nicholas and his great-grandchildren Layla, Lucas and Lexie and many other family members and friends whom he loved.
Sergio came to Canada in 1954 closely followed by his wife Giustina in 1957. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed his life in Salmo with all that it had to offer. If you came around his house in the summertime you would see him in his garden which he put his heart and soul into. Sergio worked as a miner in the province of BC for 35 years before retiring.
A private family service will be held. You are invited to leave a personal message of condolence.
