Maxine MacDonald
1941-2021
WEST BRANCH, NB – It is with broken hearts we
announce the passing of our dear mother Maxine Hazel (Stothart)
MacDonald 80, of West Branch on Wednesday, September 8,
2021. Born in West Branch, she was the daughter of the late
Thomas Stothart and late Hazel (Sinton) Stothart. She was a
life member of the Zion Presbyterian Church in West Branch, where she
was a Sunday school teacher for over 30 years. She was a
member of the AMS and the Happy Stitcher Guild. She was very
soft spoken and never turned anybody away; her home was always open to
the kids that would hang out.
Maxine will be sadly missed by her four daughters, Kim McLean
(Bruce) of West Branch, Karla MacDonald of West Branch, Karen
MacDonald (Jeff) of South Branch, Brenda MacDonald (Darrell) of Rexton
and two grandsons, Doug and Dan.
She is also survived by two sisters, Donna Little (late Gary)
of Rexton, Joyce Murphy (Allen) of Upper Rexton; one brother, John
Stothart (Debbie) of West Branch; brother-in-law, George Mundle of
Moncton; many nieces, nephews; best friend, Anne; daughters by choice,
Sharon and Ruth and her MacDonald in-laws.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband,
Carl; one son, Kevin; one grandson, Matthew; one sister, Arlene and
one infant brother, Vincent.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home. A
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 11:00
am at the Zion Presbyterian Church in West
Branch.

Wilson boys & DJ to the Extra Mural nurses, mom got to stay
home until the end and we thank you. »
Donations in Maxine’s memory may be made to the
West Branch Cemetery Fund.
