Obituary
At the Southampton Care Centre on Saturday, September 4th at 11:30 am. It is with profound sadness to announce the passing of our dear Hubby, Dad and Grandpa.
Alex suffered from Lewi Body Dementia since 2016. The request of Alex was to not have a funeral and to be cremated instead. Please remember Alex in your own way whether you worked with him at Ontario Hydro or Port Elgin Boat Club, or watching our sons playing hockey. After he retired in 2001 he drove the school bus for Laidlaw and volunteered at the Tour Base. He joined the Southampton Curling Club and was a member for many years.
I want to thank all the members for guiding Alex through his last year of curling. Many thanks to my kind neighbours for staying with Alex so I had time to run errands.
Alex leaves behind his loving wife Ann, sons Grant, Stuart (Kayley), grandchildren Jordan, Jack and Lakyn, his brother John in Scotland, many nieces and nephews including great nieces and nephews.
He was our North, our South, our East, our West
Our working week and our Sunday rest
Our noon, our midnight, our talk, our song
Let the bagpipes play forever on
Our thought that love would last forever
We were not wrong!!!
