It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Margaret “Rita” Lonergan, born October 5, 1924 to Mary and John Farrell in Montreal Quebec. Rita passed away peacefully at her home in Milton, Ontario on Sunday, August 22, 2021. She was predeceased by her husband Daniel and both her brothers Joseph, and David (Jean). She is survived by her sister Mary (Chris). She will be missed terribly by her children Alice (Glen), David and Danny. Grandchildren Samantha, Michael and Stephen deceased. Kyle, Sean (Tasha) and Lisa as well as numerous great grandchildren. She lived in Quebec till 2001 when she decided to make Milton her home.
She will be cremated and a family graveside service will be done in Montreal. A celebration of life will take place in Milton at a later date.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Humane Society would be appreciated.
