Lawrence’s Obituary
Lawrence Gordon Wearden, long time resident of Brownvale, AB passed away in Fairview, AB on August 19, 2021 at the age of 75 years.
Lawrence was born on August 15, 1946 in Berwyn to Olive and Geo Wearden. He was a gravel truck driver and mechanic for most of his life, working on his own truck. Upon retirement in 2014 he continued to volunteer at the Brownvale Community Rec Center doing maintenance.
Lawrence enjoyed going for coffee with friends and neighbors, gardening and family picnics at Dunvegan. He was often found working on a truck or tinkering around the house fixing anything and everything that needed to be done. He also enjoyed travelling with his wife Dianne, going to Vegas and taking road trips.
Lawrence is predeceased by his parents, Olive (Carter) and George Edward Wearden; brothers, George (Ted), Robert (Bob), Alfred (Al), Jack and Frank; sisters, Dorothy Landaker and Doris Mildenberger.
He is survived by his wife, Dianne (Johnson); son, Richard (Deanie); daughter, Tammy Brickner (Rory); grandchildren, Dani Wearden, Branden and Preston Brickner; great-grandson, Casey Davis; brother, Fred (Lorraine); sisters, Brenda (Rick) Tverdocklib, Joyce Persson, Rose Wurst, Eunice Edelman as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held from the Brownvale Rec Center on Friday, August 27, 2021 at 2:00 PM.
If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Brownvale Community Club as expressions of sympathy.
