ANNIE THELMA (TEE) MACKENZIE
Passed away on Monday August 9 with loved ones at her side at the Peterborough Regional Health Care Centre. Born in 1933 in Cape Breton N.S., daughter of the late Daniel Mackenzie and the late Annie Hannah Mackenzie.
Sister to Frances Hunter, Laura MacDougall, Mayme MacSween, Kay Sanford, and Mary Walsh (Alfred). Brother to Harold Mackenzie (Theresa), Donald Mackenzie (Dorothy) and Bob Mackenzie (Jackie). Pre-deceased by brothers Albert (Buster) Mackenzie (Marie), Wilburn Mackenzie (Joan), Alec Mackenzie and her sister Margaret McAdam (John).
Proud and loving mother of Vincent Bowe (Marg), Deborah Routly (Robin, deceased) and Jocelyn Dodson (Mark). Grandmother to Melissa Bowe Johnson (Jeff), Daniel Bowe (Alannah Ferguson), Hannah Routly, Molly Dodson and Tommy Dodson. Great-grandmother to Lily Johnson, Easton Bowe and Izabella Bowe.
Thelma (Tee) was a ‘firecracker’ with strong passion for her family, friends and church and great generosity for both her community and charitable causes.
She lived in various areas from Donkin Cape Breton, Annapolis Royal Nova Scotia, Calgary Alberta, Toronto Ontario and Peterborough Ontario. She possessed passion and courage and strength for her entire life.
The family sincerely thanks all of Tee’s friends, especially those in the ‘333 Hedonics’ apartment building, members of the Saint James Anglican Church, and all the care workers, palliative care nurses and doctors for their support and kindness.
