Marie Edna Roach

Age 96, Chéticamp. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marie Edna Roach. She passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at the Foyer Père Fiset Guest Home, Chéticamp.
She was a daughter to the late Joseph and the late Marie (Poirier) Roach.
Marie Edna was an active member of St. Peter’s Church and was a dedicated member of the choir. This kind lady was always so giving in her daily life, having cared for, for a long time, her parents and an elderly aunt. One was always made to feel so welcome in her home. Marie Edna’s passion in life was her excellent rug hooking and that was a big part of her life up to the age of 93.
Marie Edna leaves behind her brother, Louis Léo Roach, Toronto, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, Jimmie Roach, Arsene Roach, Willie Roach, Charlie Roach, Paulo Roach and half brother Alex LeBlanc; sisters, Elizabeth Chiasson, Marie Cézaire Arsenault, Marie Louise Cormier, and Marie Cecile Roach; brother and sister in infancy.
We would like to extend our gratitude to Dr. Paul Sonier and all staff of the Foyer Père Fiset for their kindness and care given to aunt Edna.
There will be no visitation. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, January 18, 2021 at 10:30 am in St. Peter’s Church, Chéticamp with Father Pierre Antoine St. Cyr and Deacon Gerald LeBlanc officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery.
Donations may be made to Foyer Père Fiset or a charity of your choice.
