It is with great sadness that
the family of Stefania LeBlanc announces her passing on her 58th
birthday after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Her attitude
was always to « fight hard for what you believe in, » and
fight she did.
Stefania was an extraordinary
daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. Family was her world
and having everyone over to the house was what she lived for.
Throughout her battle, she was able to carry on her mother’s
tradition by cooking and hosting delicious family suppers regularly.
Never would her pain stop her.
It was easy to create a
special bond with Stef. There was always a laugh to be had when she
was around. She was selfless and always knew what to say. In her pain,
she would march on and be there for anyone needing uplifting,
encouragement or just a shoulder to cry on. She was a true friend to
the many people she met over the years leaving an immense footprint in
so many people’s heart. Her smile will radiate
forever.
Stefania was born in Moncton,
to Filippo Marini and late Maria (Amarii) Marini. Besides her dad, she
leaves behind her high school sweetheart, Robert LeBlanc, her daughter
Angela LeBlanc-Cormier (Kevin) and her son Marco LeBlanc
(Stéphanie). She also leaves behind her precious
grandchildren, Olivia Cormier and Mateo LeBlanc, as well as her
beloved grandpuppy Izzy. Being « Nonni » was the best title in
the world to her.
She will also be greatly
missed by her sister Pia MacLeod (Wade), their children Laura and
Samantha; her brother Marcello Marini (Lisa), their children Celia and
Julia; her father and mother-in-law Ronald and Bernice LeBlanc; four
sisters-in-law, their partners, and their
children.
In
addition to her immediate family, she also leaves behind many aunts
and cousins both in Canada and in Italy.
Throughout
Stefania’s 7-year battle, she received exception care from
her medical teams, which included but was not limited to: Dr. C.
Deveau, Dr. P. Renfrew and Dr. M. Harb. They each went above and
beyond to assist and guide her throughout her tenacious fight. Being
present for her when in need meant the world to her. Doctors
can’t do it alone; we are truly grateful and recognize
the exceptionnal care and compassion
given by Dr. Deveau’s office staff as well as the nurses in
the oncology unit and clinic. Thank
you.
