Jane Tresa McAuley
Peacefully and surrounded by her family who love her so deeply Jane Tresa “Sister Frances” McAuley (Hubbard), 84 years old, passed into the arms of her Saviour on August 6,2021.
Beloved mother of Pam and Dave Engleson, Deb and Sheldon Siebert; grandmother of Greg & Mary Engleson, Bryan Engleson, Michelle and Ron Page, Adrianne and Chris Beaver, Danielle Engleson and Mark Sanders, Alicia Siebert, Brent and Meghan Siebert, Tanner Siebert and Shelby Treulieb. Great-grandmother to Ali and Nathan Page, Grace and Maya Beaver, Aubree and Benjamin Treulieb, Sebastian and Maisie Siebert.
Sister to Agnes “Honey” Giffels, Pat and Al Hall, Gerarda and Bob Savoie, Bernadette “Bunny” and Bob Johnson and Darcy Sedore.
Jane was predeceased by her parents Stanley and Mary, her husband Ray and her beloved son Barry McAuley as well as her siblings James “Jimmy” Hubbard, Mary Sedore, Julia “Anne” and Richard Harris, Margaret “Maggie” and Joe Duffield, Francis Hubbard,Eleanor and Hank Mulberger, Johnny Hubbard, Kathleen Aabert, Bert Giffels,Betty and Lee Embry and Joanne and Don Hubbard.
Jane had 15 brothers and sisters. She devoted her life to her family and was a gramma to all and anyone that needed some love. She was the first one called in any crisis and would hold vigil at the bedside saying her rosary. She was famous for her cabbage rolls, baking and canning. Later in life she took vows to become a Sister with the Order of Franciscans. She was a pilgrim who travelled the world and was always praying for everyone she met. She had a wonderful laugh and great sense of humour and could even sing the alphabet backwards.
Though she will be greatly missed on earth, heaven has gained another angel.
Resting at the D.J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre where the family will receive friends on Wednesday August 11 from 9:30 to 10:30 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church at 11:00 am. Interment will take place at Lakeview Cemetery. Please note, as per the directive of the Bereavement Authority of Ontario, all in attendance are required to social distance and to wear a face mask.
