Richard Viau
1947-2021
ALDOUANE, NB – Richard Viau, 74, of Aldouane passed
away peacefully at the Miramichi Hospital on Friday, August
6th, 2021. Born in Montreal, QC, he was the son
of the late Elphege Viau and late Jeannine Fabre. Before retiring,
Richard work as a driver and heavy equipment operator for the City of
Montreal.
Richard leaves to mourn his loving wife, Patricia Rausis; his
daughter, Stephanie Viau (Alexandre) of Gatineau, QC; his son, Eric
Viau (Tina) of Bedford, NS; his stepson, Gaby Viau of Joliette, QC; as
well as his five grandchildren and two
great-grandchildren.
Richard will also be sadly missed by his sister, Monique
Mercier (John) of Maria, QC; his three brothers, René
Daigle of Galloway, Gerald Daigle (Laura) and Zoel Daigle (Annie),
both of Richibucto; as well as by his many nieces and
nephews.
Besides his parents, Richard was predeceased by two sisters,
Dianna Maillet and Beatrice (infant) and his brother,
Alpha.
Following Richard’s wishes, there will be no
visitation at the funeral home. A funeral service will be celebrated
on Friday, August 13th, 2021 at 1:00pm,
Thompson’s Funeral Home Chapel, Richibucto.
