Alice Elizabeth Schneider Fredsberg was born to Mrs. Annie Schneider on September 10, 1938 at the St. Therese Hospital in Tisdale, Saskatchewan.
In 1957 she married Ingvar Fredsberg, and from this union they had three children, Leonard, Riita, and Geraldene. Ingvar and Alice were blessed with a granddaughter Kirbi Natanis, from which they gained 3 great grandchildren, Hunter, Jason and Brooklyn. In Alice’s later years she adopted another daughter, Annette Lysohirka who immediately blended with the family.
Alice was well known for having the coffee on and enjoying a good laugh. The last few years, Alice took an interest in diamond art. Her prize picture was the custom print of her 3 grandchildren. She would lose track of time working diligently to finish it, which she did. Alice enjoyed watching TV, reading, and doing her senior paper crossword puzzles. Alice will be remembered for always calling people on their birthdays and anniversaries. Most of all Alice will be remembered for telling everyone she loved them.
Alice was predeceased by her son Leonard in 1978, her mother Annie in 1991, husband Ingvar in 1999, and her son-in-law Dwayne Ruether in 2011.
Alice is survived and forever cherished by her daughters Riita, Geraldene and Annette; her granddaughter Kirbi (Scott) and three great grandchildren Hunter, Jason and Brooklyn; her special niece Arlie (Carl) Bonham and family; nephew Cal (Debbie) Davidson; nephew Peter (Lucille) Schneider and family Colette (Brent) Marceau; friends Wayne and Mya Preston that were like family, and many of her cherished friends. She will also be dearly missed by her four-legged companion, Maisy Mae.
