Kenneth’s Obituary
GHANEY, Kenneth R. – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kenneth R. Ghaney of Colliers, at the young age of 54 years.
Predeceased by his parents: Leonard and Madeline Ghaney; sister Mercedes; and brother Leonard. His parents-in-law: Leonard and Mary Wade; and all members of the Ghaney, Hearn, Costello and Wade families.
Leaving behind with broken hearts his wife of 34 years Laura; daughters: Angelina and Melissa (Ryan); his two precious grandchildren who he loved immensely, Lilly and Charlie. His five brothers: Bob, Steve (Ester), John (Shirley), Keith and Cyril, and their families; his four sisters: Mary (Frank), Rose (Jack), Betty and Bridget (Bill), and their families.
Kenneth was a longstanding member of the Ironworkers Local 764. He worked hard all his life and was very dedicated to helping others. He was very quiet, kind and gentle man. He had a love for animals and was always there to lend a helping hand to his family and friends.
Kenneth loved his family with all his heart, especially his two precious grandchildren who will miss « Poppy Ken » (forever.)
Resting at Flaherty’s Memorial Funeral Home, 70 Conception Bay Highway, Conception Harbour, with visitation on Friday, July 23rd, from 1:00pm-9:00pm.
Mass of Christian Burial will take place from Immaculate Conception Church, Colliers, on Saturday, July 24th, 2021, at 11:00am.
Interment to follow in St. Anne’s Cemetery, Conception Harbour.
Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in Kenneth’s memory can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
