Stephenson: Roger Joseph –
A resident of Blenheim, formerly of Comber, Roger Stephenson peacefully passed away at home and has now gone home to his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on January 13, 2021 at the age of 71.
Born in Chatham, Roger was the son of the late James and Mary Jane Stephenson (nee Deziel).
Beloved husband of 47 years to Ellen Stephenson (nee Ross).
Loving father to Stephen Stephenson, Stephanie (Jason) Kennedy, Lindsay (Gordon) Kerr, Thomas (Robin) Stephenson, Michael Stephenson, and Elisa Stephenson (Patrick Haskell).
Grandfather to Alexis Stephenson, Christian Kerr, Abby Kerr, Matthew Stephenson, Trent Stephenson, Ella Haskell, Easton Haskell, Wyatt Stephenson and the late Brett Kerr and Jack Stephenson.
Brother to Bonnie (late Al) Hood, sister in law Carol (late James Jr.) Stephenson, and brother in law Brian (late Tina) Stevenson.
Brother in law to Leigh (late Ken) Dietrich, Marilyn (late Tom) Rugh, and predeceased by Douglas Ross, Don Ross, and Shirley Randall.
Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, and close friends.
Special thank you to Rev. Grant and Donna Ward for their thoughtfulness and friendship, the doctors and nursing staff at London Health Science Centre University Hospital and the Chatham Kent Health Alliance for their continued care and the home health care workers, especially VON nurse Dawn Brown.
Roger will be remembered for his love of fishing, his « true » stories, his ownership of the Countryside Hotel in Comber, years of being a car salesman at Chatham Chrysler, and his love for Jesus Christ, his family and his dog Maggie.
Cremation has taken place.
