Born in Nakina on October 28, 1933 and raised in Cochrane, Ontario
Died peacefully in her home, surrounded by her loving family, on Thursday, July 8, 2021, Freda Sheila McFadden, in her 88th year. She courageously fought Parkinson’s Disease for over 20 years and recently cancer. Predeceased by her husband Gordon (1994), daughter Anne, and grandson Brian. Survived by her children Carol (Jim), Michael (Leslie), Teresa, Pat (Heather), Tom, Jill (Jeff). Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Shannon (Cyrus), Jennine (Matt), Lauren, Hayleigh, Erin, John Henry and three great-grandchildren Cailey, Connor, and Layne. Survived by her sister Eloise (Bernie) and predeceased by her mother and father Florence and Hector Tallon; sisters Theresa and Rita; brothers Gerald, Edgar, Jack and Stan. She will be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was a registered nurse for many years until retirement and always a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and parishioner at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church. The family is forever thankful to her support team and Spectrum for her in-home care, especially Binu.
The family will receive their friends at the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street S. (Hwy 50), Bolton (905-857-2213) on Monday from 4 to 7 o’clock.

Due to COVID restrictions, private Mass of Christian Burial will be held in Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, 60 Allan Drive, Bolton on Tuesday, July 13 at one o’clock.
Interment Nobleton Community Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations be made in Freda’s memory to Parkinson Canada.
